Coolest bike of the year!

This Buell choppa' is soo damn nice! This NCC theme-bike was made by Grub of Blackmarket Customs from the UK. 100% my kind of bike, 100% one-off! The best of the best, if you ask me...

Burnout Bikes

This super-cool Suzuki GT 500 two-stroke cafe-racer with genuine Seeley-parts is built by Burnout Bikes from the UK.

Grease Monkey

High-end, that's the best word to describe this custombike by Grease Monkey Choppers from Zaandam. It's based on a Kodlin 'Take Over' frame and the engine is a one-off performance V-twin by Grease Monkey. The paintjob by Ingo Kruse is sóóóó  unbelievably good that you'd hardly dare to ride this bike. Thanks for having the opportunity taking some nice shots!

Sickboyz

My friends of Sickboyz from the UK were present at the Bigtwin Bikeshow. They took one of their very typical Sickboyz creations, which I really, really like! I had the opportunity to take a few nice shots in the studio. Thanks guys and hope to meet you soon again (cheers, your stalker haha!)

No Limits!

Elco's super agressive V-Rod streetfighter is built by Harley-Davidson Amsterdam. It's based on parts by No Limit Customs from Germany.

Fat Boy

Pietersen in Rotterdam made this ultra-fat Harley-Davidson for John.

Haico

Only 16 years young is Haico, though he succeeded in building this wicked Puch (!!) boardtracker. I had the opportunity to shoot this cool 'sickle in the studio @ Bigtwin Bikeshow 2013! I wonder what this young man will manage to build in a few years?

Restored Shovelhead

Adriaan got a trunk full of old parts, a few years ago. Ever since, he locked himself up in his garage. The result is this beautifully restored Shovelhead. You'll read everythink about it in Bigtwin magazine!

The French bike

While I was in Opmeer anyway to shoot some riding shots of the Vintage Racer 23, I also took some shot of this recently finished bike, for the website www.l-l-choppers.com
L&L Choppers build it for a French customer who certainly likes the Jesse James look, and it would be ridden 'down south' a few days later.

It's alive.... ALIVE!

Last saturday I visited the guys of L&L Choppers again. I had the pleasure to interview- and shoot some photo's of the owner of the "Vintage Racer 23", Rob, who did his 'maiden's voyage' on his brand new finished bike. Ohhh yes! It's alive... ALIVE!!!

Picknick

Hahaaa! Check out next Bigtwin magazine (www.bigtwin.nl) Junior & Senior Velthuis were doing a pick-nick with a Royal Enfield. Too bad we found out that the bread yet had to be baked... :-)

Balance

Jo from Belgium build a Honda Shodow in the desired sexties/seventies style. Between the rain-clouds we managed to take some nice shots!

Talisman

Bobber or racer? The story of this bike began as a standard Sportster, which for Mark would be rebuild into a classic bobber with red rims. But meanwhile, Mark got lots of inspiration, and also Harley Service Tilburg, who did the job, went further and further. Check out the 'Talisman', a bobber/racer hybrid which is named after an Iron Maiden track.

NOX

Now post-processing a photoshoot of the NOX, a Attackit based rigid Sportster built by L&L choppers.
What a colours!!

Trees

Did a great photoshoot of a baby today in my portable studio. So I took a few shots of some of my bonsai trees too... Came out great! Do you want a shoot of your trees? Maybe at a club-event or a show?

High end 'Trudy

I visited Danny about two years ago to shoot some photo's of his Suzuki Savage. A nice bobber which was low-budget rebuild, a great bike for a starter. This time he made a bike which is many, many levels higher. this Intruder custombike can stand next to a LMC, a Walz or a Thunderbike, without any shame! Take a look at the countless one-off parts like the frame, a-symmetric seat with racing number, the stretched fuel tank and the fenders. Just amazing!

Vintage Racer 23

This Vintage Racer 23 was build by the Dutch famous bikeshop L&L Choppers. If you ask me (but no-one does...) this is one of their best bikes ever! It features a one-off stretched and dropped frame and two (!) 23 inch wheels. This vintage race style is exactly what I personally like and it was a pleasure to take a serie excellent shots of this wonderfull machine!

Check out the L&L Choppers website (or better, visit their great shop!)

Peter's Flatty

A bike with much surprises is this Flathead of Peter. At the first instance it looks like a pretty stock classic with a pair of Shovelhead wheels. But when Peter starst to tell everything about this old Harley-Davidson, it turn's out to be a high-light of custombike building! All the wirk is hidden inside the old Flathead engine, which is made completely up to date, with features like a modern belt drive. Pulleys, bearings, sprockets, bolts, nuts, covers etcetera, it's all made by this craftsman. And much work is done on a self made (!!!) CNC milling machine. Just... WOW! Thanks for the nice day Peter!

Hub's Harley

After a buch of stock Harleys, Hub wanted to ride something different. A radicalS&S chopper with a rigid frame, to be exactly! The bike is build by Custom House and it has loads of nice details with cupper and brass colours everywhere.

Rules!

Inspired by the bikes of Discovery's superstar Jesse Rooke, Roel started to build a similar bike. Though, not on a Harley-base, but on a Yamaha XS650. A second different is that Roel created his bike on a serious low budget. Everything is home-made, even the paintjob is done by this craftsman! Another surprise... This is just Roel's first build! We shot some nice pix at a wonderfull backdrop in Eindhoven. One of the best bikes I've seen so far, really love it!!

Nijmegen

Something different than shooting bikes :-)

Ruud's CB360

The scene is all about big size Harleys? No F*cking Way! Today we shot some killer photo's of Ruud's Honda CB360, which is inspired by the Japanese guys of Bratstyle. I saw this bike in Bottrop last year for the 1st time, and I was so impressed that I had to shoot it. In the mean-time the bike was even improved with a new pair of one-off exhaust by Ruud, who happens to be a metal-worker and welder for profession. And check that amazing paint by Royal Jack and a seat by Marcel Miller! This bike is one of the coolest 'trackers around..

500 Eurobomber

Really enjoyed shooting Paul Funk's great bike today!

Fighters magazine Germany

Really like how this photo came out in the feature!

Metalflake Triumph

Joost always rode Italian cars. Then he decided it was time for something different... Choppers! And just the type of bikes that are featured in magazines like DicE and Greasy Kulture. Old skool all the way! In the States he found this "TT Cycles" Triumph with an oil-in-frame hardtail for sale. Exactly what he likes, so he shipped it to the Netherlands, and after fixing some teething problems, it now rides like a dream on these flat lands. I liked this bike so much, just perfect (!), that I had to shoot some pix of it. :-)

vrijdag 28 juni 2013

Modern Servicar

Dingena always rode her old and faithfull Servicar. Yeah, a real Flathead. But the group she rides with started to ride modern Harleys. So, Dingena always rode on front of the group, and not because she was the fastest of 'em all (ehhh... 70 km/h max downhill). Then she decided that it was time for a new Servicar. A Road king was rebuild with a EML trike kit by HD Service Venlo.

Knuckle?

Ruben is the main man behind the bikeshop Wing Palace. As private ride he'd build this 40's style bobber with a very special engine. It's in fact a early Shovel with their own Knuckle conversion kit. Yesterday we took a few shots of this amazing bike! The result is just mind-blowing! Thanks guys.

Schorem Barbier

Real men don't go to the coiffeur for cutting and shaving. Harry Corino went with his Flathead Harley-Davidson all the way to Schorem Barber in Rotterdam to match his hair-style with his bike.

zaterdag 15 juni 2013

Harry's Triumph

One of the best old skool bikes I've seen so far! Harry created this fantastic Triumph with reversed heads. But take a look at the Jesse Rooke front end... and the leaf-spring swingarm... but also notice the special seat... the antique oil-tank and the list goes on and on. Thanks Harry for the nice day!

Royal Enfield

Piet Smits is one of my favourite Dutch bike builders. This is only his 2th custombike, though one of the best and most creative I've ever seen! It was such a honour to shoot this crazy (!!) Royal Enfield custom bike. One off all the way!

Ruud's deep seat

I love to shoot bikes with nice sparkling paintjobs. Check out Ruud's deep seat custom, which features tons of hand-made parts. Soon more about this pearl-white beauty in the Dutch Mag!

Royal Enfield Desert Storm

There aren't that much stock factory bikes that I would like to ride myself. Though, this Royal Enfield Desert Storm is a real sweety!! For Bigtwin I did a road test. And yes... Me Like!!
