short film about Revatu Customs

I made a short movie about René van Tuil. His shop Revatu Customs, is based in Eck en Wiel (the Netherlands). In addition to customizing and maintaining Harley-Davidsons, the René is fabricating one-off custom bikes of a special kind. Previously he built a pea shooter based on a stationary engine. A second motor that he participated with in the AMD World Championships is a massive custombike based on a water-cooled marine diesel Arona. The term steam-punk is certainly applicable on this wicked machine! This short film shows you Revatu Customs and hear how the marine diesel bike is pounding!

New Bigtwin

Some nice features in the new Bigtwin magazine.
The cover is Joost and his Oil-In-Frame Triumph. Cool bike, cool cover-shot! I shot 4 interesting bikes in my studio at the Bigtwin bikeshow for the Editors Choice feature. Last but not least a road-test of two new Harley-Davidson Sportsters is featured. Check out www.bigtwin.nl

Friesland's finest!

Super cool BMW brat-rod by Jeroen from Friesland boppe. Low budget bike-building at it's best!

British' finest!

It was sooo cool to point my camera to this J.A.P. bike of Larry Houghton @ Bigtwin bikeshow 2012! One of the best looking and sounding (!) engines ever...

Holland's finest!

One of the nicest bikes I've shot recently is this Royal Enfield custombike.

Harry's Weird Triumph

Have a good 2014 everyone! When I'm browsing trough last year's photo's, this Triumph by Harry was a true high-light!

Dark Portraits

Did a couple of shots of my own band ASGRAUW for the upcoming album. The photo's were made in my portable photo studio in our rehearsal room.

S&S Panhead

So good and 100% perfect!!! Build by RB Special Parts. Hope to see it soon in the mags!

Daan's Custom Shop

I'm not a softail fan, though this cool old skool bike by Daan's Custom shop is a killer machine! If you ask me this was one of the most inspiring bikes on the Bigtwin Expo 2013. Daan shows what can be done with a stock softail Harley. By lowering and stripping the frame and adding the right chopper parts it has become a true chopper, which has not much to do with a stock Harley-Davidson at all! The matt (!) paint is done by Royal Jack. Might take a few profi pics of this super-cool custom bike...

Open Door L&L Choppers, short movie impression @ Floris Velthuis photography

L&L Choppers from Opmeer, the North of Holland, is working on their 2th shop in Rijen since a few months. The shop is located near Breda and the Belgian border. December 28th & 29th 2013 the doors were publicly opened for the first time. The castle-like interiour is realised with help of the Nimeto school. Eye-popping was the special Tokyo Thug corner with Japanese chopper parts. However this wasn't the official grand opening, the open days were a huge succes. Early 2014 the shop will be opened officially. Be there!

Open doors @ L&L Choppers Brabant

L&L Choppers from Opmeer, the North of Holland, is working on their 2th shop in Rijen since a few months. The shop is located near Breda and the Belgian border. December 28th & 29th 2013 the doors were publicly opened for the first time. The castle-like interiour is realised with help of the Nimeto school. Eye-popping was the special Tokyo Thug corner with Japanese chopper parts. L&L Choppers have put a few of their best bikes in the brand new show-room. Two big-twin highnecks stood on both sides of the raw metal entrance. Central to the showroom was the trophee-winning Panster of L&L's engineer Paul. An unfinished Buell rigid chop in English streetfighter tradition looked very promising, ans so was the raw Attackit Sportster of L&L's helper Richard. However this wasn't the official grand opening, the open days were a huge succes. Many bikers from Holland and Belgium visited the new shop in Rijen this weekend. Early 2014 the shop will be officially opened. Be there!
