Destiny Cycles

Way too busy with finishing all the write-ups of this autumn, and still didn't have time to take a look at the studio-work @ Bigtwin Bikeshow 2011. But here's finally a little preview. It's the stunning Girly Sportster chopper of Lin Jefford of Destiny Cycles UK! I really like these super-friendly people and I love this bike. Maybe we'll visit the shop of Destiny Cycles next summer? We'll see :-)

Backyard Mechanic

Last saturday Ortwin's super-ultra-detailed S&S bobber was shot in a nice old building. It's backyard-built by this Dutch craftsman and striped by Incastien in a nice old skool style (scallops).

We shot some photo's outside, and the indoor-pix are shot with studio flashers. As you see on the picture on top - in comparing with the pix on bottom - the background is underexposed to get a nice moody atmosphere. Which photo do you prefer: With the beautiful looking model Nousjka, or with Ortwin, who practiced a lot on looking bad, haha. Thanks for the nice day!

Free Rider

Beautiful & stylish custombike from Free Rider, Poland, as photographed at the Bigtwin Bikeshow & Expo 2011. It's a quick shoot but due to the weather the pix look amazing!! Soon to be featured in the best custombike magazine of the BeNeLux!

Weird Fish

Sorry for the silence on the blog. I'm moving house as I speak.

At the Bigtwin Bikeshow & Expo I've shot this 'Weirdfish', built by Paul Milbourne from England. It was in my top 3 of best bikes on the show. We had just a few minutes to shoot the bike outside the Autotron event terrain, but the photo's turned out pretty nice, though. It will be published in Bigtwin magazine.

Luuth

Something different today! I was asked by Luuth to shoot some photo's for a clock-magazine. He's one of the very very few young guys who's a clock mechanic for profession!

We shot a serie of portraits at his loft, which has a nice eerie castle-ish atmosphere. This is the traditional look I wanted for the photo's, though, restoring antique clocks and watches goes on a pretty modern way these days. One problem: the sunlight through the windows was very bright, so the whole scenere had to be underexposed a few stops, to leave some detail in the windows. The strobes were profided with a full CTO gel. The camera was put on a different light balance, so the light through the windows looks blue.














Also we made a few product photo's of some old clocks, which he's working on.




















I did it on my light-table, which I accidentally got a week ago. It's also perfect for motorcycle parts, helmets, and so on...

I really, really REALLY like this bike! We did a beautiful photoshoot of this insane Shovelhead today. It's build by Jerry, everything is hand-made. Even the tank and the frame. One of the best bikes I've seen this year. Thanks for the great day!!

George's S&S Panhead

The guys of Lasmotec build this beautiful and perfect finished S&S Panhead for George. I've seen this bike at Custom Chrome in Mainz (where it stood under the banner of J&S customs) and now I had the opportunity to shoot it in my mobile photo studio.














It looks pretty great! A champagne coloured bike on a black background.















Although a backdrop of 6 metres wide sounds pretty big, it'sjust enough for group shots like this :-)

Scheffers

Hell yeah! The weirdest creation I've seen in a long time! Roel Scheffers made this wicked Gs750 with KTM parts. It runs like it looks, hard!

Gecko Kustoms' Triumph!

I Love old Triumphs and today I went to Sander of Gecko Kustoms in Dordrecht. This bike-fanatic build this Triumph from the ground up and it's one of the best Triumphs I've seen till now. The details are fantastic. What about a self-moulded (!) LED rear light? And the paintjob is done by Mr. Sander himself. By the way, he's a master with Flakes & Candies too!

Joris' Ironhead

Joris hails from Brabant, the Netherlands, and he has built this super-duper-cool Ironhead chopper from the ground up. Frame, oiltank, fenders, controls, handlebar... you name it, he has made it all himself. Note that the bloke is just 23 years young! Oh I have to mention the brilliant paintjob, which he has sprayed himself in a home-improvised spray-cabin!!

F*cking nice!!!! The Honda chopper of JT brothers is in Backstreetheroes magazine! A super cool bike, which is shot on a dark back-drop :-)

The Suzuki GSX 1400 streetfighter of RnoCycles is published in the German magazine Fighters.

Brainsturm XS650

Project Roadrunner

Bas bought himself a nice fat Dunlop rear-tyre from eBay.... that's how the story of this beautiful rigid 'hot rod Honda' started! With a hartailed frame, and it long, fat & low lines it's of the coolest Honda Shadows I've seen!
